Board of Directors

Anna Ludwig

President

Anna was born and raised in the Ballard area of Seattle, where she currently lives with her wife and four pets. Anna has volunteered and worked for veterinary clinics and nonprofit animal welfare organizations all her life, and is currently working part time at Seattle Area Feline Rescue. Anna’s most recent positions have included Executive Director of a spay/neuter clinic for free roaming cats in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Director of Operations and Marketing for a nonprofit veterinary clinic in Seattle. She is also connected with several local Mutual Aid organizations, providing support and resources for unhoused and low income neighbors in her community. Anna believes that all people and pets deserve access to the care they need to be well, and feels very lucky to have the opportunity to provide some of that care for her neighbors.

Brianna Sherman

Secretary

Bri is honored to serve as the Board secretary of WAHO. As a lifelong member of the PNW, Bri is passionate about serving her community, specifically her unhoused and marginalized neighbors. She has had the pleasure of working within the community in a social service capacity, including domestic violence advocacy, housing coordination, mental health support for adolescents, and the creation and development of the social service and resource navigation program for another local veterinary outreach organization. Bri is currently enjoying her position as Cafe Coordinator at the Ballard Food Bank. She is highly invested in animal welfare and cherishes the human-animal bonds that she has experienced through her work. When she isn't serving her neighbors, she enjoys hiking with her partner, rock hunting on the Oregon Coast, and hanging in the garden with her partner and their dog Cerberus.

Channing Benson

Treasurer

Channing graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) with a degree in Zoology and has always been passionate about animal care. With over 14 years of management experience, she has been in charge of several veterinary practices, from rebuilding teams to maintaining hospitals, as well as building programs for business sustainability and marketing. Channing started in the nonprofit sector because she firmly believes every human and their pets deserve resources and care regardless of social standing, and is looking forward to her contributions on the board for WAHO. Channing works at the American Association of Veterinary State Boards as the Exams and Programs Manager. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three furbabies, Rey, Shuri and Aya.

Gill Chang

Officer

With a degree in graphic design, Gill has never imagined that one day she would devote her time to animal welfare. It all started with her daughter needing to fulfill her volunteer hours for high school. They both love animals, so they chose to volunteer at a pet clinic. This experience has opened up a new world for Gill. Not only did she find a way to get involved in an area that brings service to pets and their owners in the community where it's most needed, but she also met a group of great people who inspired her to want to do more.

In her free time, Gill enjoys chilling with her family of two humans, 3 cats, 1 hedgehog, and fostering cats/kittens with her daughter.

Generoso Tandiama Jr, LVT

Officer

Generoso has been in the Veterinary field for 14 years, where he has worked in various general practice clinics and specialty hospitals. His passion lies within radiology, specifically ultrasound. He is currently in school to become an ultrasound technician where he hopes to use his education for both human and animals.

Outside of work, Generoso serves on the Board of Directors for the Duwamish Tribe, where his roots are embedded. In his spare time, you can find him at Emerald Downs spending time with the horses and relaxing after a long work week. He has a 7 year old son named Geo who he loves to coach and play baseball with. At home, they have a 3 year old hedgehog named Pam who loves to eat and poop everywhere.

Veronica Monroe

Officer

Veronica is retired from Albertsons. As a mother of two, grandmother of seven, and soon-to-be great grandmother, Veronica enjoys being around good people and is very close to her family. She loves all animals, especially her dog and family gecko. Veronica connected with Washington Health Outreach because of her dog’s need for prescription food, and she is thrilled to be serving on the Board of Directors.

Veronica is a homebody, but she enjoys music and dancing.

Katelyn Mullikin

Officer

Katelyn moved from Boston to Seattle in 2021 for grad school at the University of Washington, and quickly became involved in local mutual aid projects and providing direct aid to encampment residents. Three years later, she's graduating with degrees in Public Health and Social Work, and involved in work to stop encampment sweeps in Seattle. In getting to know unhoused folks in her neighborhood, she has also gotten to know their pets. Housed or unhoused, pets are often peoples' protectors, companions, and family; but for folks living outside and unhoused, accessing veterinary services, basic pet care, and emergency services can be nearly impossible. Katelyn is grateful to have met the folks at Washington Health Outreach, who have helped numerous of her friends and their pets living unhoused in Ballard and throughout King County! Katelyn (along with her partner, and two cats Nova & Titan) currently does food and supply distribution to encampments in Ballard, and downtown Seattle with Stop the Sweeps. She encourages folks to join their local mutual aid groups, get to know their unhoused neighbors, and join the movement to Stop the Sweeps.

Monica Green

Officer

Monica Green is a proud Washingtonian who was raised in Seattle and grew up on the streets. She is a proud Mother of three and a Blessed GG of five. She raised her children as a single mother so she had to make sure she had a career that would keep her children in a safe neighborhood and good schools so she chose marketing. She was happy with the money but never happy with her career. After all of her children left home, she experienced the empty nest syndrome. She turned to over medicating herself with opioids. After spending two years of spiraling out of control and of course being caught, she advocated for herself to be given the chance to attend Drug Court. She currently holds the position of Resource Referral Manager and Outreach Specialist. She now knows what she was put on this earth to achieve and she has only just begun.

Kevin Biale
