Housing

  • Compass Housing Alliance develops and provides essential services and affordable housing for people living homeless and low-income in the greater Puget Sound region.

  • Plymouth Housing provides permanent homes and comprehensive support to help our neighbors leave long-term homelessness behind for good.

  • Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services serve low-income individuals, families, seniors, and persons with special physical and mental needs, offering resident support services in addition to a clean and safe place to live.

  • Mary’s Place provides safe, inclusive shelter and services that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness.

  • Seattle Housing Authority provides housing and supportive services for people with low incomes.

Emergency Shelter

  • DESC provides effective and affordable solutions to homelessness for our community’s most vulnerable single adults through a nationally recognized interwoven network of care, housing, and support.

  • YWCA helps women and families find and maintain safe, stable housing.

  • Solid Ground provides emergency housing assistance, domestic violence shelter, resources for those facing eviction, and resources for move-in assistance.

  • Mary’s Place provides safe, inclusive shelter and services that support women, children and families on their journey out of homelessness.

  • Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission provides shelter and meals for adults living homeless.

Food

  • Ballard Food Bank provides access to nutritious food through their food bank, home delivery, and Weekend Food for Kids program.

  • University District Food Bank serves serve residents of zip codes 98102, 98103, 98105, 98112, 98115, and 98125 as well as our houseless neighbors with nutritious food.

  • Northwest Harvest provides equitable access to nutritious food.

  • Pike Market Food Bank serves any resident of the 98101, 98104, or 98121 zip codes as well as people who are homeless living in downtown Seattle.

  • Bread of Life Mission provides hot meals, clothing, showers and assistance with medical and social services for people living homeless in Seattle.

  • Byrd Barr Place Food Bank provides healthy food and non-grocery essentials for anyone who needs them, and provides home delivery for those living in the 98102, 98112 or 98122 zip codes.

  • North Helpline provides food to anyone who needs it, and provides home delivery for neighbors living in 98125, 98133, 98155, 98177, 98115, 98011, and 98028 zip codes.

  • Solid Ground’s Food Assistance Page has a map of food banks and meal programs.

  • Meals on Wheels is a nationwide program that provides older Americans nutritious meals and safety checks at little to no cost. The meals can be delivered to your home if you meet eligibility requirements, or you can go to a congregate nutrition site for socialization and food. If you struggle with isolation and meal prep, then Meals on Wheels could provide ease and companionship.

Hygiene

  • Women’s Day Center at Mary’s Place provides women experiencing homelessness with a safe place to rest, build community, and find the resources they need to reclaim their lives: two hot meals a day, showers, laundry, clothing, medical care, and connections to housing, employment, and financial benefits, discussion groups, classes, and on-site services.

  • The Compass Housing Alliance day center provides meals, showers, and laundry for people living homeless and low-income in the greater Puget Sound region.

  • Bread of Life Mission provides hot meals, clothing, showers and assistance with medical and social services for people living homeless in Seattle.

Health Care

  • Solid Ground has a Healthcare and Public Benefits Assistance page, which has information about resources (including legal aid) for obtaining and maintaining public benefits like Medicare, Medicaid, TANF, food stamps, etc.

Mental Health

  • 988 is the new, nationwide, three-digit dialing code for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The 988 dialing code connects people via call, text, or chat, to the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL) where compassionate, accessible care and support are available for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress. 988 is the newest addition to the state’s network of crisis center providers and will not replace any crisis call centers in Washington. The current NSPL number, 1-800-273-TALK (8255), will remain active along with the new 988 dialing code. Find more information on the Department of Health website here.

  • Warmline has useful resources for peer-led support lines. Call 877-500-9276.

  • Trans Lifeline provides trans peer support for our community that’s been divested from police since day one. They are run by and for trans people. Call (877) 565-8860.

  • Wildflower Alliance Peer Support Line is answered by a trained peer supporter who has their own first-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, addiction, and/or other interrupting challenges. This line does not collect personal information, perform assessment, or call crisis or the police. Call (888) 407-4515.

  • Call Blackline provides a space for peer support, counseling, witnessing and affirming the lived experiences to folxs who are most impacted by systematic oppression with an LGBTQ+ Black Femme Lens. Call 1 (800) 604-5841.
